Vignette Break: Liminal Strangers
We move so fast. We pass comfort in strangers. We walk through the same unknown spaces.
Liminal Strangers is a ~5 minute game poem on the hidden connections we have among strangers - connections we ignore all too often.
This is the eighth game for the 2025 VM Games Series. Vignette Breaks are smaller, textless VM Games made between VM Game theme sets. Vignette Breaks are free to play for everyone.
Vine Moss Games is a new studio committed to delivering interactive experiences on human complexities. Follow on itch and on Patreon for updates on Liminal Strangers and future VM games.

I played this as part of the Imagine We Were Human demo for Steam Next Fest. What a beautiful little game. It really feels like a game poem, and I’ll definitely be checking out the larger project.
Thank you for the kind words, and we're so excited for you to play Imagine We Were Human soon!
This was so lovely - brilliant use of different textures and mediums. I felt a longing for connection bubbling up inside me as I played; the emotional experience is so deftly handled. Excellent stuff.
Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for playing!
